In short
Sierra Digital Audio software works offline and does not collect, store or send personal information. Your settings, setlists, presets and notes stay on your own computer.
There is one optional exception: Sierpinski Workbench can share the factory preset list of an Axe-Fx III, FM9 or FM3 — only if you tick a box, and never anything about you. It is explained in full below.
Our software
MidiOrganize, MidiControl, Integra7Control, Sierpinski Workbench, the Sierpinski and Integra7Control plugins and the MidiXLate configuration app do not phone home, show ads, track how you use them or need an account or license key. Links inside them (such as the website or Buy Me a Coffee) open in your web browser only when you click them.
Sierpinski Workbench: optional factory preset sharing
Sierpinski Workbench starts with Fractal Audio's factory preset list for your unit. For the Axe-Fx III, FM9 and FM3, the real blocks of those factory presets can only be read from a real unit. To build better lists for everyone, the Workbench can share what your unit reports about its factory presets — if you agree.
When it happens
- Only on an Axe-Fx III, FM9 or FM3, and only if you tick “Help other Sierpinski users” in the first-start Sync window. The box is unticked unless you tick it.
- Once, after your first full preset sync.
- Until that sync is done, or while a report is waiting to be sent, the Workbench asks sierradigitalaudio.com whether reports are still wanted for your model. That check sends nothing about you, your computer or your presets.
What is sent
- For each preset slot that still holds a Fractal factory preset: its number, its factory name and the blocks it uses.
- The unit model, the firmware version if you type it in, the Workbench version and the date.
Show what will be sent in the Sync window displays an example before you choose.
What is never sent
- Your own presets or their names, your settings, setlists or notes.
- Your name, email address, or anything else about you or your computer.
How it is used
Reports are used only to build and improve the factory preset lists included with future versions of the Workbench. They are not sold or given to anyone. Fractal Audio's factory preset names and blocks are not personal information.
What the server keeps, and for how long
- The report itself, as a text file in a private folder that is not part of the website. Reports are kept until the factory lists have been built from them, and for no longer than two years.
- To limit uploads to five per hour from one place, the upload page keeps a scrambled code made from your internet address — not the address itself.
- A running count of how many reports have arrived for each model.
- Like any website, sierradigitalaudio.com records the internet address of each connection in its standard server logs.
Your choices
- Leave the box unticked. Saying no changes nothing — the Workbench works exactly the same.
- With no internet connection, a report waits in the Workbench settings folder and is sent later. Delete it from that folder if you change your mind before it is sent.
- To have a report deleted after it was sent, contact Sierra Digital Audio with your unit model and the date you shared it. Reports contain no name, so these help find yours.
This website
- No cookies, no ads, no tracking.
- Download and visit counts: clicking a download adds one to a counter for that file, and the homepage adds one per browser session. Only the totals are kept — nothing about who clicked.
- Contact: what you send through the Contact page or by email is used only to reply to you.
- Other sites: fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, downloads come from GitHub, and Buy Me a Coffee is a separate site. These services see your internet address when your browser connects to them, under their own privacy policies.
